Birthdays, cake, and a blogging break....
Good evening fine bloggerfolk.
My name is Kathy B, and this is my blog. And today is its very first birthday! On the count of three..... AWW! I have been irritating the nation with my pointless waffle for a whole entire year. For 365 days, I have been blogging and scrawling, and attempting to be hilarious. Sometimes it works. And sometimes it doesn't, but either way, I seem to have acquired some fine readerfolk throughout my blogging journey, and I cannot thank you enough. In fact, to demonstrate my gratitude, I have baked a cake and will be sending you all a delicious slice of iced goodness in due course. Honest.
As I'm certain many of you are aware, blogging is a time consuming/life consuming hobby. And so, one year in, it appears that I need a little break. Don't get me wrong, I love this blog as much as I love Channing Tatum's thrusting skills in 'Magic Mike', but when I'm blogging, I tend to neglect my novel (that thing that I occasionally bang on about on Twitter), and as a woman on a mission to get it finished this year, I need to get cosy with it again. Spooning and kissing cosy.
I have therefore decided that I shall be zoning out of here until August 11th, which will give me about three weeks to get my novelista on, and perhaps even finish it. It's going to be dorky, seriously dorky, and I'm very excited!
PLEASE DON'T ABANDON ME. If I publish a post on August 11th and my dad is the only person that comments on it, I shall cry profusely into a packet of scotch eggs. And that's not pretty.
Thank you all for being amazing. It's been a jolly year of blogging I feel, and I absolutely cannot wait to come back and try and make you chuckle like it's 1999 again. Judging by how life is panning out at the moment, I'm pretty sure I'll have some fairly interesting posts to publish..... Wink.
PS: I appreciate August 11th is a very specific date. Specific isn't particularly my thing, so don't throw a half-eaten quiche at me if I return a few days before/after said date.
PPS: I will be having a GIGANTIC catch up on all of my favourite blogs once I'm back. A catch up so big, it could give an overweight elephant a run for its money.
PPPS: I love you. That is all.
