A Sussex based blogger sharing a candid tale of 20-something humanness

A mug of hot chocolate and a catch up.

As promised, I'm here to catch up. I think this post is one of the first I've ever written that isn't about one specific thing. It's pretty exciting, but also a bit of a pain, because as you're probably aware, I have absolutely ridiculous amounts to say about absolutely everything, so trying to compress it all and squeeze it into one big post is a little bit of a mission. I have therefore decided that I will be writing future posts that relate back to things mentioned in this one. That way, you get the juicy details, and I get to ramble on like usual. I feel this is a win win situation, and I hope you can agree.

For the past week, I feel like I've been on another planet. Getting out of the office and regaining my social life has been even more refreshing then jumping into a bath full of  half melted ice cubes. I feel like it was a well needed week to myself, and I'm pretty sure that the girls at work have probably enjoyed the peace and quiet (and the increased fridge space!)

I've been up to many-a-fine-thing, and am quite devastated at the thought of going back to a world where I can't roll out of bed whenever I like, and spend copious amounts of money on cheese sandwiches whilst on my travels.

On Monday night, I went out for Halloween, and drank a bit too much wine, but had a fantastic night all the same. I did however have to change outfits midway through the night, due to the fact that my zombie Dorothy dress oh-so-conveniently decided to rip when I threw some hideous shapes in the hallway. Rip, right across the boob of course. For the sake of my dignity, and my desire to continue with the walrus dance moves, I morphed from zombie Dorothy to psycho school girl in the space of 5 minutes. I'm so A-List.

After spending Tuesday ridiculously hungover, eating a few too many scotch eggs, and watching a whole series of Made in Chelsea (so bad, but so good), I spent Wednesday being slightly more sophisticated, and went on a little shopping spree in Brighton. If you've read one of my previous posts, you will know that I love Brighton. It's full of interesting people, interesting buildings, and masses of creativity. Oh, and evidently, the shops tick all my boxes too! Miss Selfridge one minute, and a vast antique market full of wonky, dusty things the next?! Hello empty purse!

On Thursday, I headed to Portsmouth, and visited one of my most favourite human beings on the planet. This little adventure will most definitely have to be a separate blog post, as it's a story and a half! I had such a lovely day though, and despite the fact I almost came home as an ice sculpture (note to self- a light blazer isn't best attire for a chilly day), I went to bed in a very good mood that night!

On Friday night, I'd booked a hotel on the seafront, and spent the night watching awful TV and staring out at the sea. There's something about the sea that just chills me out completely!

Yesterday I went out for dinner with the girls, and we then headed to my friend Johnno's house for fireworks that nearly killed us all, endless sausages and burgers (perhaps going out for dinner beforehand was a mistake...), and a good old fashioned chinwag.

All in all, it's been a fantastic week. I'd also like to state, that this week, I went out for dinner, with a man, for the first time. I know. Considering the fact that I'm a complete fruitcake, and I have a tendency to spill food all over me and embarrass myself in restaurants, this was an experience and a half. This will also be getting a blog post of its very own in the coming week...

I hope you're all doing okay, and I will be catching up on all your blogs tomorrow, as I'm pretty certain I'll be far too grumpy to write anything productive! I can't wait to see what you've all been up to, and catch up on all the gossip!

Happy Sunday!

Lots of love and kisses!

PS: My mum casually came home with a new puppy on Saturday. My heart has melted!
